“I hope my future daughter or nieces want to wear my gown, so preserving it will make that possible.”
We were married on April 21, 2018.
The Glen Venue Linwood House in Glen St. Mary, Florida.
The designer was Ti Adora, and it was purchased at Ivory & Beau in Savannah, Georgia.
All the dancing! Our dance floor was full and rowdy all night. It was so fulfilling to see everyone enjoying themselves and my husband and I had plenty of time to join the fun.
I came out of the dressing room to show my mom and sisters and I was holding back tears. It was the fourth gown I tried on and the only one that made me emotional!
We met through mutual friends and began dating some years after. Come to find, out most of our lives we were right under each other’s noses living in close proximity and hanging out at the same places. We wonder how we didn’t meet or cross paths sooner.
My gown is so special to me. It signifies so many memories, including when it was purchased, which was such a fun and magical day. I hope my future daughter or nieces want to wear my gown, so preserving it will make that possible.
Oh where to begin!? If I have to narrow it down to just one aspect, it would have to be including our dog, Elroy, a 1.5-year-old Weimaraner in our wedding. He wore the same bowtie the groomsmen did and stood at the altar during our ceremony. He was the life of the party! Our guests loved interacting with him, and we incorporated his picture on our koozies for guests to use and take home. We like to think Elroy helped make our wedding unique and memorable.
