When was your wedding?
We were married on December 7, 2023.
What was the name of your venue and why did you choose it?
Our venue was Crosswater Nocatee. I am a local wedding planner in the area and plan weddings every weekend. Planning my own wedding was different and I wanted different. I wanted to choose a place that I didn’t feel like I was working at. I knew of Crosswater from previous events that I have done before. It was the perfect little hidden gem for us. The property is really nice and offers a lot of possibilities. This venue is a blank space so I was able to customize it from start to finish. It was the perfect setting for us. It is also a super budget-friendly venue since it is a HOA building/community center space of Nocatee.
How long did it take to plan your big day? Any vendors you’d like to recognize?
It takes a village to plan a wedding. My vendors meant everything to me. I hand selected my vendors from the long friendships and experiences I have had with them. We planned our wedding in 11 months.
Who is the designer of your gown and where was it purchased?
My designer was Martina Liana. And I got my dress at Love, a bridal boutique here in Jax Beach.
When did you know that your gown was “the one?”
I knew the style I wanted and tried on dresses similar to that style. We pulled 10 dresses out to try on and the dress I chose was the second dress I tried on. I knew it when I put it on. We did add some sheer sleeves to the dress as well.
Why did you choose Oceanside for your alterations?
I choose Oceanside since it came highly recommended from Love Bridal.
How did you and your husband meet?
My husband and I met online.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory was probably the part right before I walked down the aisle with my dad and then walking back down the aisle with my husband.
What made your wedding ceremony feel extra special?
Our guest count was small. We had 64 people who attended and it was so special to just have our closest friends and family join us on this day. I loved our flowers, set up and the cold sparks that went off at the end was everything! It was perfect in every way.
